Flat water kayaking requires strong physiological attributes covering fitness, Nutrition, Muscular Endurance, Aerobic Capacity, Mobility. It requires strong technical paddle technique.

Norwich Canoe Club runs a varied training programme covering paddle technique, endurance, core strength, weight training, running, swimming and cycling. Most members find that their overall fitness and body composition improves from kayaking.

Norwich Canoe Club runs various training sessions and events including:

  • Beginners Learn to Kayak Sessions
  • School and Group Sessions
  • Athlete Development Camps

We run introductory sessions for beginners throughout the warmer months. If you are interested in joining the club please get in touch via the button below or pop down to the club to have a cup of tea on a Saturday morning to have a chat.
